Bonjour
Comme promis, voici l'animation de la planète Mars du 15 décembre dernier . Il s'agit d'images issues de vidéos captées sur environ 2H et processées avec Autostakkert, Registax & winjupos. Avec ce dernier logiciel j'ai obtenu au final 117 images de la planète à partir des 26 images originelles afin d'obtenir une image par minute de rotation . La video finale tourne à 66 ms/image.

Petite précision : ce qui est intéressant dans l'animation c'est que l'on voit bien les nuages bleus de haute altitude ,au pole nord de la planète, se déplacer lors de la rotation ainsi que l'apparition de nuage aussi sur la gauche de l'animation.. Quant au centre de la planète , on peut voir le mont "Olympus Mons" se déplacer ......

As promised, here is the animation of the planet Mars from December 15th. These are images from videos captured over approximately 2 hours and processed with Autostakkert, Registax & winjupos. With this last software I obtained in the end 117 images of the planet from the 26 original images in order to obtain one image per minute of rotation. The final video runs at 66 ms/frame.

Small clarification: what is interesting in the animation is that we can clearly see the high altitude blue clouds, at the north pole of the planet, moving during the rotation as well as the appearance of clouds also on the left of the animation.. As for the center of the planet, we can see the mount "Olympus Mons" moving......

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
